Enhancing Customer Experience

Ejendals delivers safety gloves and safety shoes to customers and their workers around the world. Frank Samadani, a Value Added Service Manager at Ejendals, focuses on enhancing the customer experience Ejendals offers. “One of my areas of responsibility is the safety assessment service, where our safety experts identify safety hazards and risks in the workplace. We then provide a safety report with recommendations and solutions on how to mitigate risks of injuries.”

“Previously, we used Microsoft Word documents to guide our sales team to create the safety reports,” Frank says. “However, many users found this overwhelming, due to the template’s length and complexity. Especially for those not very IT-savvy, creating documents with the correct formatting could be challenging.” 

The Team's Positive Attitude

“This prompted me to find a tool to simplify the creation of safety reports,” Frank continues. “The moment I saw the SmartDocuments website, I knew it was the right fit. The introductory meetings and demo that SmartDocuments provided, were equally promising. Both IT departments were involved early on to explore the tool’s capabilities, which was immensely helpful and allowed us to dive deep into our needs, comparing them to SmartDocuments’ features. We quickly established that we could make it work. I threw in a big challenge as I wanted to integrate our product database into SmartDocuments. They were quick to provide a demo showing how this could be achieved. The SmartDocuments team had a ‘Can-do!’ attitude, which I greatly appreciated.”

“After purchasing, we received an informative two-day training from their consultant,” Frank says. “We learned a lot in those two days. The implementation got a boost by SmartDocuments helping us build the framework of the document template for our reports. I’ve been told our report is by far one of the most complex ones, so having that initial support was invaluable. Working on the back-end of SmartDocuments and their template editor is easy once you get the hang of it. It requires no coding or programming, as it works with placeholders. During implementation, a few issues arose, but they were resolved efficiently, and the outcome worked out well.”

Significant Stepping Stone

Frank: “Our safety assessment is an optional, value-added service for customers. Previously, the complexity of creation reports often discouraged offering the service. Now, with SmartDocuments, the sales team is more inclined to promote it. While SmartDocuments hasn’t been officially launched internally yet, we’re excited about its potential, and those who have seen the tool are eager to use it. They see its simplicity and are confident that they can work with it. It is a significant stepping stone for our company, enabling us to provide this service more efficiently and in an easier way.”
