SmartDocuments has been integrated with Verseon from Circle Software for years. Document creation is initiated by the Verseon system. SmartDocuments then receives an XML file with the business data needed to generate the document.

Both systems are involved in entering data into documents. Everything that's seen as metadata is entered into Verseon screens while document-specific data is requested by SmartDocuments. Building and registering the document can be initiated either in SmartDocuments or Verseon.
